a career in fine arts is possible not only by doing BFA or MFA you should have immense talent and very creative.now a days their is a great demand of good art work you can have money and fame

Do you want to be rich or do you want to be happy? Because it is hard to get both in a career in Fine Arts. I chose happiness as a stone carver and the money came later (when I mastered it). Just follow your heart and Good Luck!

But on the realistic side of life………..extremely difficult to acquire.

If you were born with a ’silver spoon’ (lots of money), and a genuine God given talent to express yourself thru painting and sculpture combined with a ‘monastic’ (religious) type suffering and social deprivation, then you have a chance of becoming a great painter/sculptor.
If no ’silver spoon’ is available but you do have the other requirements noted above then you need to marry into money to a COMPLETELY 100% supportive partner, then you’ll have a chance of becoming a great painter/sculptor.

If however you are just a working Joe/Jane then you’ll have to pay your own bills by working, and your ‘Art” will have to come second. The best way for you to find artistic accomplishment and pay you way at the same time is to go to work in a related field. I from experience suggest the following approach. Get a job in graphics if possible, it will give you a way to pay your way in life. After a while, 2 or 3 years, find a way to work at a prominent art museum, not a seller of art (dealer) but a displayer of fine art in the public good. Museum’s like The Metropolitan in New York, The Louvre in Paris and other lesser known but highly respected museums, who are more concentrated into sculpture and painting. Here you will gain much knowledge into the realities of being a ‘true fine artist’.

Its a great career, respecteable possition. But think about money, u may be or may not earn good money, how Information Technology people are earning. You gives less importance about money thenok go ahead. I like and love arts.
