    Id say that learning all you can about your craft will be very beneficial!

    the best place to start, after lessons of course, is to try auditioning for things. while performing arts colleges are great starts for that type of a carrer, make sure that whatever college you decide has other good programs, because with a dancing/singing career, there will be times without a job, so having a background in other areas would be very usefull.
